Castle Mountain

from $600.00
Edition:

Cultivate Joy

Approaching Castle Mountain from the Bow Valley Parkway may not be the quickest way to see the iconic peak, but it’s a favourite and offers a breathtaking perspective. During the warmer months, the "Bow Valley Parkway Car-Free Zone" initiative allows visitors to cycle from Banff to Johnston Canyon along the closed road, offering a safer and more enjoyable experience to appreciate Banff National Park's natural beauty at a slower pace. It’s such a highly rated experience locals will return several times a year.

I created this drawing to capture the joy of simple moments, like cycling on an open road with the wind in your hair and the sun on your skin on a perfect summer day. Just when you think it can't get any better, you come upon this incredible view of Castle Mountain rising before you—the cherry on top.

Castle Mountain taught me that joy can be cultivated and may be found in simple, unexpected moments. When you see my drawing of Castle Mountain, I hope it inspires you to be present, explore alternative paths, and embrace joy in life's small moments.

“Castle Mountain” is the fourth drawing in my exclusive “Finding Myself in the Canadian Rockies” limited edition print collection. Each piece uniquely reflects my personal journey and connection with the Rockies. To learn more, read the collection story here. To continue following my journey, check out “Banff Springs” next or head backward to “Johnston Canyon.”

Available in two options:

  • Large Print 28x40" / 71x102cm – Limited Edition of 10

  • Medium Print 20x28" / 51x71cm – Limited Edition of 20

Each edition is printed as a museum-grade Giclée fine art print on Hahnemühle German Etching paper — a luxurious, heavyweight stock with archival longevity and rich texture. Printed with pigment inks for exceptional depth and clarity. Includes a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
